Privacy Policy
This policy explains how pq-cli-taxes, a private tool that Pocket Quant LLC uses to work with its own QuickBooks Online books, handles data. The tool has no public users: the only data it touches is Pocket Quant LLC's own accounting data.
What it accesses
- Accounting records in QuickBooks Online companies that Pocket Quant LLC owns: transactions, accounts, vendors, customers, items, and financial reports.
- Basic company information needed to identify the connected company.
Access uses Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization with the accounting scope only. The tool does not request payments, payroll, or personal sign-in (OpenID) scopes.
Where data is kept
- The tool runs only on computers controlled by Pocket Quant LLC. There is no hosted server or database.
- OAuth credentials and tokens are stored in a local file readable only by the owner's user account.
- Exported records are saved as local files for bookkeeping and tax preparation.
How data is used
Only for Pocket Quant LLC's own bookkeeping, financial review, and tax preparation. Pocket Quant LLC may analyze its exported records with software tools it uses under its own accounts, including AI assistants, and may share them with its own accountant or tax preparer.
What it never does
- Sell, rent, or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- Access any QuickBooks company not owned by Pocket Quant LLC.
- Use tracking cookies or analytics. This website sets no cookies; our host may keep standard server logs.
Retention and deletion
Records are kept as long as needed for bookkeeping and tax record-keeping obligations. Disconnecting the app in QuickBooks Online revokes its access immediately, and the local token file and exports can be deleted at any time.
Security
Connections to QuickBooks Online use HTTPS. Credentials never go into source code or version control.
Changes
We will update this page if these practices change, and change the effective date above.
